Kiyomi Sushi Ristorante Giapponese

After 12 days in Italy, we were in need of something other than traditional Italian dishes, and this place was close to our AirBnB. Seeing previous reviews now, I'm surprised at the negative reviews as we had an excellent experience!! We were seated promptly at 20.30 (on a Wednesday), and the all you can eat menu was explained. We speak English, and I believe Italian was perhaps the second language of some of the servers, so a language barrier was to be expected, but didn't cause any issues for us! When in doubt, point at menu items and hold up a 1 or 2 with your hands and smile :) We ordered dumplings (ravioli), tempura shrimp, salmon nigiri, tamaki cones, and a few sushi rolls. Everything came out in courses, and was fresh (fried food had just been fried, sushi was appropriate temperature). The cut on the salmon of the nigiri was perfect with the ratio to rice. Rice was cooked and seasoned appropriately. We never felt rushed or ignored, and the back room we were in was pretty much full of tables. Overall I'd definitely recommend eating here, we had a great experience and left happy and full from a delicious dinner!

After trying it 3 times and on different times, I'm sure that 1 start is more than enough for it , its new restaurant and need more time get better in everything, 1. The price is too much expensive for what they're serving, 2. The food are not fresh , all the staff confirmed that everything are prepared from before and they just prepare nicely in the plate, 3. The staff are terrible, except the long guy , the other 3 girls seems like we wake them up to come and work! 4. They have limited options of food , specially the sushi , and if you asked to remove something or to join something, the answer as usual ( we can't, the sushi are prepared from before) !!! I'm living in Ortigia and I'm sure that there are many places deserves to spend money there instead of spending 15€ on sushi WITHOUT drinks and desserts ..

Brand new Japanese restaurant on the beautiful island of Ortigia in Syracuse. High quality Japanese restaurant and sushi. The restaurant presents itself very well, with attention to the smallest details in a modern style. the sushi is of high quality in fact the all you can eat dinner menu costs 25 euros per person excluding drinks. Personally, as a good sushitarian, I can say that the sushi here is fabulous, the care and presentation of each dish is truly superlative, not to mention the flavor of each type of sushi. fried sushi like hoso arrives hot. the ordering method for the various courses is not done with the classic tablet but rather with a kind of button panel that calls the waiter for orders. The waiting time, despite the full room, is short. I made a really good impression by bringing my girlfriend here to eat sushi. I recommend..... book even if there are 2 of you highly recommended go there Temaki and uramaki are superlative.....!!!!!!! very important!: The kitchen closes at 11pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
